Sorry this is such a late post! We've been very busy trying to get our new home in order. In addition to moving, unpacking, and settling into another country, we have also found out that we are expecting a little one in early November! Busy busy!
When we first arrived in Germany, we were shocked by how cold it was- there was snow on the ground! In March! We quickly made a trip to the BX (Base Exchange) for some additional winter clothes. We had travelled too lightly. Imagine that!

Next time we move, I think we will be more prepared about what to bring with us and what to leave behind. When we were still in WA, I didn't totally understand the difference between 110v and 220v... And how in the world does a transformer work? Now that I know... I could have spared my heating blanket from being fried. I also nearly burnt down the house with the espresso machine! I could have also saved us alot of space by putting more electronics in storage or selling some. If anyone reading this would like some advice about making a military move overseas, feel free to email me at jsvanscoy@gmail.com.
